Music was composed and created using real instruments within the duration of the game jam.
All ideas, assets, level designs, art and animations were created during the jam, by us.

Initially we finished everything within half the time (48 hours) over the weekend.
But we ended up deciding to fix some small bugs in our free time before the end of the jam.

Thank you for playing! :D

Please don't spoil the ending for other players in the comments.

If you feel stuck, try thinking outside the box! As far as we know it's impossible to get yourself stuck. :)

This is really funny, loved it and the art style too. Very clever!

Thank you!! :D Glad to hear you had a laugh.

Dang, that awesome! I was hooked in immediately by the graphics, sound design and general concept. I couldn't stop playing until I beat it. The difficulty level and game length was just perfect! Short, sweet and fair. I loved the extra love and care that went into it (such as the statue of the huge skeleton holding  a massive gun, the ending screen, glowing aura around the diamonds, etc). I have no idea how all of you created all these audio and graphical assets in such a short time, that's fucking insane.

As an audio guy, just wanna say how much I loved how the first gun plays notes from an E blues and E dorian scale. What a cool touch.

Thank you so much!!
Very happy to hear you enjoyed it, we really appreciate the kind words! :D

help the poor skeleton he cant handle the weight :(((

(+3)

The art on this is insane!

Tysm!! <3

(+1)

silly

It sure reminds me of DOOM Ethernal for a "specific part of the game"... If you know, you know.

(+1)

really enjoyed this!

Yay, thank you! :D

I got so lost so fast. having a lot of paths you can take right off the bat with interconnected chambers can be fun and exploratory, but it just led to me getting very confused. I think a smaller enclosed tutorial or more visually distinct areas/rooms might help.

(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. Some valid points we agree with. :)
We've had many people saying the starting bit (before the first upgrade) is too long and confusing. :')

very nice game

Truly fun concept! More power, more restrictions in a completely different way, making a puzzle to explore. The ending was well worth it! A good laugh!
The art was fantastic, the music was bangin!
Well done all round!

(+2)

Thank you very much Biz!! Had a blast watching you play through on your vod! :D

(+1)

Good job! The only bad thing I can say is that I ran into a bug on this room where I couldn't get back out since my jump wasn't high enough to reach the upgrade, so when I tried to exit I couldn't because the blocks respawned and I couldn't shoot them.

(+1)

Wait, nvm I'm just dumb

(+1)

very nice, very nice. Simple but fun.

(+1)

Thanks!!! And even though you ended up realising you weren't actually stuck, thanks for taking the time to send a screenshot.  :)

Did you get to the end?

(+1)

yes, after I realized I wasn't stuck I decided to finish it (:

Awesome, thanks for playing. Hope you enjoyed. :)

Yeah, I did!

(1 edit)

Thank you!!! ^^

(+1)

This was pretty awesome... loved how the gun played a long with the music.

(+1)

Thanks :D

Too bad we didn't make all guns do that.

After the first gun I didn't even pay attention to that aspect, I was too focused on what path I have to take haha

(+2)

Very cool game! Finished it. The idea is pretty clever, and fits the theme really well, it is simple yet beautiful. Elegant.

Fantastic. Feels very much like a Robert Alvarez (rob1221) game, but with a different graphic style.

(+1)

(+1)

Thanks!! :D

(+1)

i want a bigger gun

(+2)

Don't worry pal, they say it's about how you use it. :)

LOL

(+3)

Solid concept and art, really good music. I will say there felt like a lot of aimless walking, especially at the beginning. But once you get the first gem things start to get interesting. Also encountered the possible soft lock after 2nd gem. But liked it overall

(1 edit)

Big thanks for playing and for the kind words. :)
It seems a lot of people felt like they were soft-locked there, which is on us. But even though it may seem impossible, it's a puzzle that you can solve and get through. So if you feel like going back and giving it another try let us know how it goes. ^_^

(+2)

cool concept! Love the art, music and level design as well!

Thanks! :D

(+1)

Very cool concept. Love ot

Thanks! (:

(+2)

Got here by for the looks and the pun, stayed for the music, a real jammer.

(+1)

Thanks!! Our musician, Sol (@The_great_cheeser), worked super hard on it!

(+2)

Holy s**t that was epic. Awesome job guys!

(+1)

Thanks a lot! Happy you enjoyed! :D

(+2)

The concept is rad as hell, but i was a bit lost at the start, and didn't know where to go till i got the first gem. also managed to softlock myself after getting the 2nd gem. Cool visuals and idea though

(1 edit) (+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
Yeah I guess we should've indicated that you're looking for a gem at the start.
Ah sorry for that. right after the 2nd gem there's a puzzle that may look impossible at first glance, so it's possible that you weren't actually soft-locked.
But if that's not the case I'm sorry to find out that happened.

(+2)

This was very nice! The art is so good! I liked it a lot.

(+2)

This was great! The moment after I got the first upgrade and realized it impacted how I had to traverse the map. *chef's kiss*

I also really liked the bullet effects and animations. That last scene killed me! Very well done!

Thanks for the kind words!! Super happy you enjoyed it.
And thanks for liking my effects haha.

(+2)

Really cool concept!

I believe some sort of tooltip telling you to seek a gem at the start would go a long way in improving the experience, because when i started playing i wasn't sure what my goal was.

Other than that I had a lot of fun, and the level design and execution is great!

(+1)

thank you so much for the feedback i think you're right about that. im glad you enjoyed it!

(+2)

Size definitely matters >:)

:^D

(+2)

I love how you use scaling as both an advantage and a disadvantage! It's a ton of fun to shoot bigger and bigger guns

(+1)

thank you!

(+2)

so sick

Thanks!

(+2)

This is is so cute!

Thank you!! We were going for deathly scary but cute works too! :D (joking)

(+2)

intresting idea

thank you sir!

(+2)

Hahaahahaha when I thought it couldn't get bigger...
really nice! Make the player think of breaking the blocks to make a stair can be a nice design thing...

(+1)

Thank you! :D Really happy you liked it. Yeah haha that's a nice idea.
